Crumpsall Nursery

We are Tiddlywinks 3rd nursery within North Manchester and are located within the centre of an ever changing diverse community in Crumpsall, continuing the Tiddlywinks tradition of high quality child centred day care for children from 4 months up to school age.

Our Crumpsall nursery is registered with Ofsted to provide care for 78 children between the hours of 7:30am to 6pm. We strive to exceed the minimum standards of the welfare requirements within the Early Years Foundation Stage and Every Child Matters Framework. We continuously develop the nursery to ensure all children learn and develop to their highest potential. We provide in all rooms a language friendly environment to support and extend the children’s language.

From the first footsteps into Tiddlywinks Day Nursery we work closely with parents and carers to ensure all children experience a happy and exciting time. We recognise parents as the first educators for their children and work alongside them to support their child’s learning. We are always available to speak to parents/carers who may need advice, guidance or have any concerns with regards to their children.

The staff team are all qualified and some also to a degree level which supports a wealth of knowledge & experience within the staff team. We have a strong key carer system in place to ensure all children’s individual needs are planned for appropriately. It is important for children to have a special bond with their keycarer to ensure they achieve in all areas of learning. The Early Years Foundation Stage framework allows keycarers to plan stimulating learning experiences enabling children to make continuous progress during their time at Tiddlywinks Day Nursery.

We provide free 15 hour sessions for two year and three year olds by the government funding. These sessions enable children to develop their language, build relationships with their peers and provide the children with a foundation of learning within the EYFS to prepare them for school and life.

Ofsted wrote'The quality of teaching is superb. Staff have an exceptional understanding of child development and how children learn. The educational programmes are vibrant and offer children optimal challenge both indoors and outdoors. As a result, children make rapid progress across the seven areas of learning.'
