Outdoor Play at Ancoats

Outdoor Play

There is a large outdoor space for the children to run freely around the garden and explore the surroundings. There is a story singing area where children can sit on large wooden logs that are surrounded by shredded bark and interact with one another.

The garden is surrounded by wonderful greenery, with visits from natures habitats from squirrels to hedgehogs.

There are large hills surrounding the garden this give the children the opportunity to develop their gross motor skills. There is a large bike track within the grass area where the children can learn new skills from manoeuvring and pedalling.

There is an outdoor classroom which is adjoined to the preschool room; this has a small construction role play area, a book zone with different aged appropriate books, jigsaws and small world resources.
