Tracy Makin - Nursery Manager

I am committed to supporting the children, their families and the staff teams to ensure we deliver high quality early years practice, providing each child with the best possible start. 

My name is Tracy Makin, I trained on the NNEB and qualified level 3 in 1992. My first post was for 13 years as a nanny for a family looking after their daughter and four sons until their youngest child grew up to go to secondary school. I left this position in August 2006.

During this time I studied and gained a pass in Maths GCSE and Teaching Assistant Level 1 and 2. I went to work at a day nursery in Manchester in September 2006 and started as a Nursery Nurse. Within the year I was promoted to Deputy Manager and my role included staffing the nursery and running in the managers absence, Health and Safety officer, SENCO, attending managers meetings, compiling reports about all staff and the events within the nursery, running staff meetings, holding staff appraisals and much more.

I undertook further study completing a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies and graduated in 2012. I applied for the position of Tiddlywinks Day Nursery Area Manager in November 2012 in which I was successful and started in this post on 2nd January 2013.

I then became nursery manager at Clayton in September 2015, and I am really enjoying my time here getting to know the new children and parents.

Vicky Timmins - Deputy Nursery Manager

My name is Vicky Timmins and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in January 2008. I am qualified with a Level 3 NVQ in Childcare, Level 2 in Teamleading and Paediatric First aid. I will work with my team to provide a safe welcoming atmosphere for your child. I am a caring and loving person who enjoys providing a stimulating enviroment with a range of activities for the children to learn and play in.

Amanda Nash - Early Years Teacher

My name is Amanda Nash and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in March 2007. I qualified with an NNEB  in 1987. I have recently undertaken 6 years of study completing my BA Honours in Early Years Practice and gaining Early Years Professional Status in February 2012.

I support all of our staff team to enable them to provide high quality care and education for all children who attend Tiddlywinks Day Nursery. I will ensure the staff team exceed the standards set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage framework playing an active role in helping the children develop. Being able to support the staff team and watching the results for the children is facsinating and heart-warming.



Leanne Walsh - Tweenie Room Team Leader

My name is Leanne and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in September 2014 as a nursery officer in the tweenie room. I qualified in 2011 after successfully completing Level 2 Diploma in Early years and Childcare and completed my Level 3 in March 2013. I will support the children’s development through creating a welcoming environment, where the children can flourish through stimulating activities that meets their individual needs and prepares them for school. I aim to provide each child with a warm, loving welcome into our Clayton nursery to ensure they have fun with their friends on each session through a range of games and creative activities.

Catherine Sharkey - Pre-School Room Team Leader

Hi my name is Catherine Sharkey and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in June 2015. I have many years of experience with children and love to see them grow and develop and learn different things. I am NVQ Level 3 qualified in Childcare and I will use my skills and knowledge for all of the childrne in the Pre-School room to have as much fun as possible on their sessions. I enjoy creative activities and getting messy, teaching the children new things and helping them use their skills too.

Jemma Fannon - Baby Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Jemma and I started working for Tiddlywinks in April 2014 as a nursery officer currently based in the baby room team. I am NVQ Level 3 qulaified in Child care and I am looking forward to learning new skills and gaining more knowledge and experience by working closely with my team to meet the children's individual needs through fun, stimulating activities. I aim to continue the high standards of Tiddlywinks Day Nursery by helping the children to learn and develop at nursery.



Amber Gill - Baby Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Amber and I started working for Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in November 2014, I am a nursery officer in the Baby Room. I gained my NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development in December 2010 and  I am currently studying to achieve my NVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education. I enjoy working in the babyroom, giving the children quality and loving care.



Gemma Blackwell - Baby Room Early Years Apprentice

My name is Gemma Blackwell and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in January 2017. I am currently working towards my Level 2 qualification in Early Years and I am looking forward to gaining knowledge in this area and working with children. I feel that every child is unique in their own way and I can't wait to figure out all of their personalities. I aim to provide a loving and stimulating environment for all of the children to develop and learn as much as possible through a range of messy activities with their friends here at our Clayton nursery, and I aim along with my team to give them the best start to their education. I am based in the Baby Room and I will work closely with the team to ensure all of the children's need and requirements are achieved.

Bobbie-Lee Bloomfield - Baby Room Early Years Apprentice

Hi my name is Bobbie-Lee Bloomfield and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in April 2017 as an apprentice. I am currently working towards achieving my NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and I hope to continue my studies as much as possible to increase my skills and knowledge. I work in the Baby Room at Clayton and I am excited to guide each child on their journey with Tiddlywinks and watch them develop and grow with their friends at nursery. I really enjoy a wide range of messy and creative activities for the children and I am very hands on.

 

Chloe Mooney - Tweenie Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Chloe Mooney and I started working for Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in September 2012. I am NVQ Level 3 qualified in childcare and work in the tweenie room here at Clayton. I have had experience of all ages and used to work at the nursery in Hill Lane, until Clayton opened in 2014. I enjoy working here and we use the children's special interests to help them learn and develop.

Sophia Edge - Tweenie Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Sophia Edge and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in April 2014, I am currently NVQ Level 3 qulaified in Childcare and I work in the lovely Tweenie Room here at our Clayton nursery. I enjoy having a key group and being a key carer as I am able to guide and support each child to learn as new skills. I enjoy having group time with the children and their friends to encourage social skills and teaching children how to share. This is such a fulfilling job and the focus to the progress a child has made through their time at nursery.



Brook Thomas - Tweenie Room Early Years Practitioner

Hi my name is Brook Thomas, I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in June 2017 and I am currently working towards my NVQ Level 2 in Childcare. I work in the Tweenie Room in our Clayton nursery and love watching the children become little characters as they get older. I am warm and caring towards the children and I enjoy trying out new and exciting activities for the babies to explore. I will provide each child with a warm loving and stimulating environment to play with all of their friends and develop new skills as they grow older.

Rowan Moss - Tweenie Room Early Years Practitioner

Hi my name is Rowan Moss and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in September 2015. I am currently working towards achiveing my NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and I hope to continue my studies as much as possible to increase my skills and knowledge. I work in the tweenie room and I am having a great time learning about the children and my team. I am really enjoying finding out about the children's personalities and how they learn. I enjoy the outdoors and playing football with the children and hide and seek.

Michelle Marshall - Sessional Care Early Years Team Leader

My name is Michelle Marshall and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in October 2015. I have worked in childcare for 11 years, I currently have a BTEC national diploma in early years level 3 and have my paediatric first aid certificate. My aim is to provide a fun and pleasant environment for the children in order for them to grow and develop as much as possible. I am looking forward to enhancing and developing the children’s knowledge and learning further.

Cate Hukin - Pre-School Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Cate Hukin and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in May 2016 and have really enjoyed my time here. I currnetly have over 18 years experience working with children of all ages and I have worked in many different settings. I am currently NNEB qualified Level 3 and I am a very happy and enthusiastic person who enjoys seeing children grow and develop and become confident in what they do. I will help your child to develop the skills they need to get ready for school.

Jade Pridding - Sessional Care & Toosc Worker

My name is Jade Pridding and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in October 2016. I am based in the sessional care room with for our morning sessions and the out of school club in the evenings. I have a level 2 in health and social care and my level 1 in child care. I aim to provide each child with a fun environment for them to learn in, I will work closely with the team to provide the children with a great fun filled and exciting start to their education.

Raechel Butler - Sessional Care Early Years Practitioner

My name is Raechel Butler and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in April 2017. I am currently studying my level 2 in supporting teaching and learning school which I am due to finish in July. After I have finished this course I hope to continue my studies as much as possible to increase my skills and knowledge as much as possible. I am looking forward to working closely with the whole Clayton team to understand each child’s needs and being involved in their learning here at Tiddlywinks Day Nursery. I am based in the Sessional Care Room and I am having a great time learning about the children and my team. I am really enjoying finding out about the children's personalities and how they learn. I really enjoy creative activities for the children and I like a variety of outdoors activities and games.

Lindsay Mathers - Sessional Care & Toosc Worker

My name is Lindsay Mathers and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in February 2016 as a crèche worker which I really enjoy. I then started working in the nursery's out of school club with the older children who we collect from Ravensbury school. I have a level 3 in child care and young adults and level 2 in leadership and management. I enjoy watching the children to develop and learn, I will provide a safe and stimulating environment for your children to thrive on each session and have fun with their friends at Tiddlywinks.

 

Nicola Green - Nursery Domestic

Hi my name is Nicola and I am the nursery domestic here at our Clayton site. I have worked with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery since January 2013 and I have really enjoyed my time here. I have worked at the Higher Blackley and Crumpsall nurseries when I first started. The teams are fantastic and offer a quality and outstanding service for the children and families.
