Laura Selby - Nursery Manager

I joined Tiddlywinks Crumpsall in October 2017 and have previously been a manager for 4 years. I hold a BA Hons Early Childhood Studies with Early Years Professional status (EYPs). I have a range of experience working within a variety of early years childcare and education settings and this has enabled me to communicate effectively with other professionals and parents/carers, and most importantly to understand the importance of implementing measures to manage, safeguard and promote a positive and diverse learning experience for all children of various abilities.

I am designated safeguarding lead, SENCo and First Aid trained.

 

 

Catherine Stones - Deputy Nursery Manager

My name is Catherine Stones and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in August 2000. I was 16 years old when I started at Tiddlywinks as a student studing for my NVQ Level 2 in Childcare. I have grown and developed and have been a Deputy Manager for the last 6 years.

I have completed Teamleader Training to assist the staff team to grow and develop witin their roles. I am currently working towards my Level 3 in Leadership and management.  My aim is to ensure we provide a loving, exciting and stimulating environment where the parents can be happy and content to leave their most precious possession in our care.

I am a Designated Safeguarding Officer and a First Aider.

Carol McCarthy - Deputy Nursery Manager

My name is Carol McCarthy and I began working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in May 2007 at our nursery based at Higher Blackley Children's Centre when it opened. I then moved to our Crumpsall nursery in January 2014 as the promoted Deputy Manager. I am qualified with a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years and a NVQ Level 2 in Teamleading. I am currently studying to complete my Foundation Degree in Early Years & Childhood Studies. I will work with my team to ensure the children are in a fun, stimulating environment where they can develop secure and warm friendships.

Claire Simms - Baby Room Early Years Team Leader

My Name is Claire Simms and I am the Baby Room Team Leader for our Crumpsall nursery. I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in May 2008 at Higher Blackley and I then moved to Crumpsall in the summer of 2012 following my promotion to Babyroom Teamleader, two years later I was promoted to Deputy Nursery Manager at our Ancoats nursery. I am qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years and I am first aid trained. I am currently working to achieve my Level 3 teamleading and my Foundation Degree in Early Years and Childhood Studies. I will provide the children with a safe and caring environment where they can have fun and learn. I am a loving, gentle natured person who enjoys helping children to develop their skills. I will work closely with my team to provide a stimulating and happy environment to support the children and for them to become confident learners in which the children with flourish and develop new skills.

Samantha Courtney - Baby Room Team Leader (Maternity Leave)

My name is Samantha Courtney and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in August 2013 as a nursery officer. I am qualified with a NVQ Level 3 in childcare, learning and development and I have 4 years experience working with children under 5 years of age. I aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment for the children to have fun and develop through a wide range of play activities for the babies as I love watching and supporting the babies to grow and develop. I will support my team in building knowledge of working with babies and support all children in building their foundations for  learning.

Nayana Korale - Tweenie Room Early Years Team Leader

My name is Nayana Korale and I started working for Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in November 2008. I am qualified with a Level 3 in Childcare & Development and am currently studying to complete my teamleader training. I am working towards management level 3. I have experience with all age groups within the nursery. I will take care of the children and support them in their everyday learning and development.

Leanne Asprey - Pre-School Room Early Years Team Leader

My name is Leanne Asprey and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in January 2015. I am qualified with a NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education and I am first aid trained. I will work closely with the team in our pre-school room at Tiddlywinks Crumpsall to ensure all of the children have as much fun as possible and enjoy their time with us. I aim to provide each child with a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment to learn, grow and develop new skills through a variety of activities and I will guide the children on their journey whilst with us at Tiddlywinks Day Nursery.

Ellie Omeara - Baby Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Ellie O'meara and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in May 2016. I am looking forward to completing my Level 2 apprenticeship in Early Years as the children will benefit from the new skills and knowledge I learn on training. I will work closely with the team in the baby room to ensure all children have a wide range of actvities available to develop new skills and have fun on their sessions. I aim to provide each child with a warm, caring and happy welcome into nursery where they can enjoy their journey to grow and develop as much as possible.

Rana Hamayoon - Baby Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Rana Hamayoon and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in August 2017. I am very passionate about working with babies and children and I will enjoy watching them develop over time. I am currently NVQ Level 2 qualified in Childcare and I will ensure each child was a caring, stimulating environment to learn and play with their friends while at Tiddlywinks.

Olivia Davison - Baby Room Early Years Apprentice

My name is Olivia Davison and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in August 2017. I am currently working towards completing my Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship with Tiddlywinks. I am looking forward to working with all of the children, helping them to develop in their learning and knowledge and I am excited to be a part of their journey.

Paris Caine - Tweenie Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Paris Caine and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in November 2015. I am qualified with a NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education and I am first aid trained. I will work closely with the Tweenie team for the children to have as much fun as possible and enjoy their time with us at Tiddlywinks Day Nursery. I aim to provide each child with a warm, welcoming and safe environment to learn through a wide range of play activities and I will guide the children on developing new skills and growing.



Maisie Taylor - Tweenie Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Maisie Taylor and I started working for Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in September 2015. I am currently working towards my NVQ Level 2 in childcare. I have always wanted to work with children and since I have been at Tiddlywinks I have really enjoyed watching the children achieve and love to see them proud of their own achievements. I will provide each child with a warm welcome and a stimulating environment to have fun and learn with their friends on their sessions. 

Hayley Johnson - Tweenie Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Hayley Johnson and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in November 2015. I am qualified with a NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education and I am first aid trained. I will work closely with the Tweenie Room team for each child to enjoy their time at nursery and have as much fun as possible. I aim to provide each child with a safe, welcoming and loving environment in nursery to play with their friends learn through a variety of activities.



Alina Shah - Tweenie Room Early Years Apprentice

My name is Alina Shah and I am currently completing my level 2 Apprenticeship with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery. I have been working at the nursery since March 2017 and I am really enjoying my time here. I particularly enjoy learning about how unique each child is and how to support them to grow and develop further. I am looking forward to continuing my journey and observing the impact that myself and the team members have on the children's learning.



Remi-Leigh Walker - Tweenies Pod Early Years Practitioner

My name is Remi-Leigh Walker and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in June 2015. I am qualified with a Level 3 NVQ in childcare and education. I will provide each child with a warm, loving and stimulating environment as they enter our care. I aim to work closely with the Tweenie team in our pod to ensure each child has lots of fun and enjoys their time at Tiddlywinks Day Nursery. I really enjoy reading stories and dancing to busy feet with the children, I will guide and support each child to share and take turns to develop their social skills.



Zeinab Bi - Tweenies Pod Early Years Practitioner

My name is Zeinab, I started working for Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in October 2016. I have previously worked for Tiddlywinks at their Higher Blackley nursery but I left to go to Pakistan early this year for a long vacation.  I qualified as a level 3 in Children’s care, learning and development in 2009. I have a bubbly nature and love engaging with the children every day. I love teaching the children and watching them develop on their journey with us at Tiddlywinks. I will work closely with the tweenie team in the pod to ensure all children's need are met and they have fun through stimulating activities. 

Paula Collins - Tweenies Pod Early Years Practitioner

My name is Paula, I qualified as a level 3 with Diploma in childcare and education in 2008 and continued studying where I gained a  Ba honours in Primary education with a qualified teacher status in 2012. I have previously worked in a school readiness unit with two and three year olds where I supported them in their learning and development. I enjoyed working within the Early years which lead me to Tiddlywinks. I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in November 2016. I am looking forward to building relationships with all of the children and families. I really enjoy watching and supporting children learn and develop and love to see the progress children make over time. I am keen on promoting learning through play and see this as a vital part of children’s development.

Ellie Dillon - Tweenies Pod Early Years Apprentice

My name is Ellie Dillon and I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in August 2017. I am currently working towards completing my NVQ Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship with Tiddlywinks Nursery. I am currently based in the Pod building with our lovely 2 & 3 year old children and I am looking forward to watching the children grow and helping each child develop. I am excited to form bonds with the children on their journey through nursery with Tiddlywinks in preparation for school with their friends.

 

Emma Kelly - Pre-School Room Early Years Practitioner

My name is Emma Kelly and I started working for Tiddlywinks Day Nursery Crumpsall in May 2010. I am qualified with a Level 3 NVQ in Childcare. I  work together closely with the tweenie room team to support the children throughout their day to develop new skills, grow in confidence and expand their learning. I will support the team in ensuring all children are supported through their learning journey and time here at Tiddlywinks Day Nursery. I will ensure all children are provided with a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment to explore and build their independence.

Katie Newman - Pre-School Room Early Years Apprentice

My name is Katie Newman and I started my level 2 apprenticeship in Early Years with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in April 2017. I have really enjoyed building relationships with the children and I have learnt a lot already. I am looking forward to get to know the children and their families more to learn how we can both support and guide the children to progress for school readiness as much as possible on their journey with Tiddlywinks.

Natalie Clegg - Nursery Administrator

My name is Natalie Clegg, I started working with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in March 2017. I work closely with the managers and support the team, providing administrative decisions and ensuring all duties are upheld to the highest of standards and also up keeping a level of professionalism whilst liaising with staff, children and their families within the nursery.
