A Curriculum Led by Children

Our ethos revolves entirely around the children, with a curriculum that encourages self-directed learning. We believe children learn best when they lead their own inquiries, guided by caring and professional staff.

A Large Outdoor Space

Our large outdoor space provides ample opportunities for physical play and exploration in a natural setting — a rare luxury for an inner-Manchester nursery, and a daily highlight for the children.

Rooted in the Community

We embrace the cultural richness of Crumpsall in everything we do — from trips to the local art gallery (where the children’s own artwork is displayed) to music sessions with residents at a nearby nursing home.

The nursery is known for its inviting atmosphere, supported by a highly qualified and experienced team, creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children to explore, learn and develop. Our ethos revolves entirely around the children, with a curriculum that encourages self-directed learning. We believe that children learn best when they lead their own inquiries, guided by our caring and professional staff. At Tiddlywinks Crumpsall, we offer a unique learning journey, deeply rooted in our understanding of the suburb’s vibrant community.

Our Crumpsall Nursery Manager

Nayana Korale

My name is Nayana Korale, and I have been employed at Tiddlywinks Crumpsall since November 2008. I began my career here as an Early Years Practitioner and have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the nursery. I hold an Early Years Foundation Degree as well as a Diploma in the Montessori Method.

I have worked with children for 28 years, including prior to joining Tiddlywinks, and have built a strong understanding and extensive knowledge of child development. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and currently serve as the SENCO, DSL and Safeguarding Lead for the nursery.

I am deeply passionate about my role and committed to providing high-quality support, education and care for all children. I take great pride in helping them learn, grow and flourish — ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential through nurturing, inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
