TOOSC at St Clare’s R.C Primary School opened in May 2010. We are registered with Ofsted to collect 40 children aged from 3 – 11 years old, as we collect our children from their school classes up till 6pm. The team includes a Playleader and 3 enthusiastic Playworkers who are all committed to providing fun, stimulating and exciting activities and experiences in a safe and secure play environment.
The out of school club at St Clare’s is based within the infant’s hall and we collect your child from their classroom and walk back to the club. All children are provided with high visibility jackets to wear ensuring their safety and security moving between the two buildings. We will provide a drink, snack and a variety of healthy options for the children to choose from. Lots of different activities, such as board games, arts and crafts or creative activities are available along with outdoor play. The children help our qualified play workers plan the activities they wish to participate in on a weekly basis.
We work in partnership with the school to provide a safe environment for your children to relax in after a busy day at school. All children are allocated a key-carer who will share and discuss your child’s achievements, experiences, progress and friendships.
Each child also has a play journal which they can add to whenever they wish with support from their key-carer, who will also add photographs, artwork and observations.
Past Comments from Parents and Visitors
“A great range of activities for gross and fine motor skills. Lots of language being used in all areas. So brilliant to see how engaged Emily is in all the activities. Emily liked decorating the biscuits she said “It was fun”. Had a super time at Stay & Play, the staff know all the children really well and support them with their learning at the right level through play.”
“We’d like to say a really special thank you to everybody who has cared for Martha (and Tom) over the last five years. From day one we never doubted that Tom and Martha were safe, happy, cared for and stimulated. We will miss you all but it’s nice to know that Martha can’t wait to go to school, many thanks and best wishes”
